French Lavender Whipped Coffee

The rich flavor of espresso combined with the delicate floral taste of lavender simple syrup makes for a delicious take on the latest whipped (dalgona) coffee trend!

Lavender Simple Syrup
 1 cup Sugar
 1 cup Water
 1 tbsp Culinary Grade Dried Lavender
Whipped Coffee
 2 tbsp Instant Coffee Grounds
 2 tbsp Sugar
 2 tbsp Hot Water
 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (or Dairy of Choice)
 2 tbsp Lavender Simple Syrup (more or less to taste)
Lavender Simple Syrup

Combine all ingredients (water, sugar, and lavender buds) in a saucepan.

Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

Let simmer for 1 minute and then remove from heat to steep for 30 seconds.

Pour over a mesh or cloth strainer into a mason jar or other glass container to strain out lavender buds, set aside to cool.

Combine all ingredients (instant coffee, sugar and hot water) in a large bowl.

Use an electric mixer to whip ingredients until light in color and form stiff peaks. The consistency should be thick and creamy.

Pour unsweetened almond milk (or dairy of choice) into a small bowl and add the lavender simple syrup. Stir to combine.

Place ice in a glass and pour milk/lavender mixture over the ice.

Spoon whipped coffee mixture on top & add a few lavender buds for garnish if desired.

Mix well before drinking and enjoy!
